Please be aware of fraudulent phone calls appearing to be from CODE

Please be aware of an increase in cases of “spoofing” – when a fraudulent caller falsifies information displayed on caller ID to disguise their identity.

When Answering A Call From CODE Credit Union:

If you receive a call appearing to be from CODE and the phone number (937) 222-8971 (or any phone number for that matter), please remember that CODE will NEVER contact you and ask for your personal or account information, such as:

  • CODE will NEVER ask for Online/Mobile Banking login and password, or a secure code to use to log in
  • CODE will NEVER call you and ask for your account number
  • CODE will NEVER call you and ask for your personal information such as Social Security number or mother’s maiden name
  • CODE will NEVER ask for your debit/credit card numbers, PIN or CVV numbers, or expiration dates
  • CODE will NEVER ask you to download anything via text or email to fix your PC/mobile device or to assist with your online banking

Do not provide the caller with any information!  If transactions are being verified, we will NEVER ask for your personal or account info to verify those transactions.  If you receive any call like this, DO NOT FEEL PRESSURED or rushed by the caller.  Hang up immediately and call CODE directly at (937) 222-8971.

As a reminder, CODE will NEVER call, text, or email you asking for your personal or account information.
